Hi everyone,
We hope you were able to enjoy all the feels of Derby and the events that took place leading up to one of our most celebrated weeks as Kentuckians! As we mentioned last week, some of our 8th grade students and their chaperones, including Fr. Jeff arrived safely on Monday in Washington, DC with a full schedule through Thursday of this week, visiting some of the top tourist attractions the city has to offer. Please keep them in your prayers. Because of this, I am pinch hitting for Fr. Jeff today in the opening article. Fr. Quan is still enjoying some vacation time in Vietnam and we look forward to his return on the weekend of May 20/21. And Fr. Tony continues to hit home runs as our in-residence pinch hitter!
As most of you are aware, Tim Grove will be retiring from St. Patrick at the end of June as the Director of Adult Faith Formation and Initiation. We are excited to announce that Tim has accepted the position of Pastoral Associate for Social Responsibility at Epiphany Catholic Church. We look forward to working with him as he will be part of the Region 7 parishes. Parishioners will have the opportunity to celebrate Tim's years of service at St. Patrick on Sunday, June 25 at 11:00 a.m. Mass. We will have a special blessing for Tim with coffee and donuts to follow.
Please consider, as part of a next best step in your faith journey, a leadership role with the Pastoral Council or School Board or nominate someone who can lend their wisdom and energy to help guide our community. This is an important role that works closely with Fr. Jeff for the good of our whole community and beyond. Nominations close this Sunday and we will be selecting new members on Pentecost for both the Pastoral Council and the School Board. Click links below. Please make sure to hit the "submit" button.

Congratulations to Delaney Hildreth, our Worship Technology Assistant, who will graduate this weekend with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Louisville. Way to go Delaney!
This weekend is Mother's Day and we will have both a special blessing for mothers and the Blessing of the Child in the Womb for expecting families. As part of our support for the Little Way Pregnancy Center, we will also be handing out baby bottles to be filled with donations and returned on Father’s Day.
